The series "Indre landskap"
Updated: Sep 19

If you know me, you know that I’m a very emotional person. I feel deeply. And over the past few years, I’ve become more and more interested in emotions – in talking about them and understanding them. In fact, I became so interested in emotions that I wrote a children’s book about them.
Some feelings are easy to put into words. Others are not. Some periods in life are easy to live through. Others are not. That is really where the series Inner Landscapes comes from. The paintings in this series are about emotions and lived experiences.
I paint a lot of what I feel myself. Painting is like therapy for me. When I experience something emotionally intense, I paint it out. The good and the bad. My paintings therefore become deeply personal – almost like a diary.
Sometimes I know exactly what I want to express when I start a painting. Other times, it’s more about getting the feeling out of my head and onto the canvas.
I don’t have to paint something exactly as it looks. I can paint it as it feels.
And perhaps that’s exactly why I love that you can see something completely different in my paintings than I do.

Inner Landscapes is about what happens inside us.
About everything we carry within us.
About what has been.
About what we hope for.
About the people we meet.
And about finding our way back to ourselves.
Perhaps you will recognize something of your own inner landscape in them. 🤍
