The story behind the paintings

Some feelings are easy to put into words. Others are not. Some periods in life are easy to live through. Others are not. That is really where the series Inner Landscapes comes from. The paintings in this series are about emotions and lived experiences.

HEL handler om når du møter noen – og det føles som om du har kommet hjem. Samtidig handler HEL også om noe mer.

Har du noen gang stått under en stjernehimmel og følt deg liten og som en del av noe større på samme tid? Det gjorde jeg mange ganger den vinteren da ROM ble malt. Jeg var nemlig på nordlysjakt!

All of my paintings are personal, but some hold an especially special place in my heart. FREMOVER is one of them. 💙

Some paintings come together quite quickly. Others take time. LYS is one of those pieces that seemed to emerge almost on its own.

Some paintings begin with a thought. DYPET began with a feeling.
